Enrico Bajoni Model 2019

This is an enlarged copy of the 1878 Milanese bass by Enrico Bajoni I owned several years ago, and it’s the second instrument built on this model. It has been very popular among the players who’ve had it out on loan, such as Alan Stewart of Baltimore, Rick Barber of the National Symphony, and Eric Liu of Ellicott City, MD, who say the tone is complex and powerful. “It delivers!”

Materials: Book-matched spruce (picea abies) top from the Eggental Valley of South Tirol, Italy. Italian black poplar (populus nigra) figured, flat back, plain sides and neck, from the Po Valley. Premium ebony fingerboard, tailpiece and endpin plug. Handmade brass and stainless steel tuning machines by Andrew Brown. Shellac finish.
