This smaller double bass features elements of masters Guarneri, Guadagnini and Pressenda. This instrument is the second of this model, with striking materials and a deeper arching of the top and back.
Materials: Book-matched spruce (picea abies) from the Eggental Valley of South Tirol, Italy. European flamed maple sides, back and neck. Premium German ebony fingerboard, tailpiece and cork-lined endpin with removable screw tip. Tomastik Belcanto medium strings. Brass and stainless steel tuning machines hand-made by Andrew Brown. Oil varnish with shellac finish.
